The Corinthian Sailing Club (CSC) at White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX is looking for one more junior sailing instructor/racing coach for its summer 2002 junior sail camps and racing program. Applicants should have at least Level 1 U.S. Sailing Instructor Certification. Our juniors sail Optimists and Laser Radials. Racing experience with those classes a plus. By design our junioor program is racing oriented. A number of our returning juniors are gearing up to compete for another year on the Texas Sailing Association's Juniors' Circuit. We expect that of our new juniors that those that want to learn to sail will also want to learn to race. Our program will begin with a two week sail camp from June 3-14, which will culminate with CSC's hosting of a TSA Juniors' Circuit Regatta the weekend of June 15-16. We will follow that with a one week Advanced Race Training Camp from June 17-21 exclusively for our juniors seriously into racing. Another two week sail camp will be held from July 8-18 in preparation for Texas Race Week in Houston July 20-28. CSC instructors/coaches (with the help of supportive parents) will accompany our junior sailors to Houston to provide on the water support and coaching. Check out our club's website at www.cscsailing.org. CSC is dedicated to one design racing with an active weekend racing program of Flying Scots, Corinthians, Snipes, C-15's, Lightnings, Lasers and Butterflys. We count among our regular sailors several current and former class national champions and Mallory Cup and Adams Cup finalists. CSC junior coaches will have ample opportunity to participate in club fleet races and area regattas during the summer while our junior program is ongoing. Accommodations will be provided for our coaches. Compensation is competitive based on your experience. We consider our junior sailors the future life blood of the club and you will find a supportive group of parents and "Old Salts" to assist you.
